These are pictures of the July 20, 2014 protest against U.S aid to Israel and Israel occupation of Gaza in San Francisco, California. There were over 6000 people who attended including me and I assure you we did not go quietly. The buses and cars had to wait for our march to pass. Our slogans were echoing loudly in the air. We marched more than 3+ miles. The aura was loud and bold and definitely caught people’s attention.
So my question is…why did our news here in America only cover the 100 Jews standing outside an unknown temple trying to oppose the uproar? Why did the news only point out the 50 some people who protested israel in front of that temple when there was a much larger scale of protesting on some of the busiest streets of San Francisco?!
Apparently 6000+ people went unnoticed while a tiny temple of Jews supporting Israel was sought out to make it on the news.
I am beyond appalled at this blatant negligence to the uproar against Israel. You cant hide us for long. You can keep on sweeping us under the rug. We will never support Israel. And if the people watching the news didn’t see us, thousands of people in the streets did.
I urge all of you to find a protest in your area and go. Its quite the experience and the aura is so uplifting. Its where humans can stand united and voice their hearts.
Please reblog and spread the word.
